How to Become a Chaturbate Broadcaster

Becoming a Chaturbate broadcaster is relatively straightforward, but there are additional verification steps compared with opening a standard viewer account.

You need to be at least 18, complete Chaturbate's age-verification process and agree to its Independent Broadcaster Agreement before you can broadcast and earn tokens.

How Do You Start Broadcasting on Chaturbate?

Chaturbate currently outlines three main steps after creating your free account:

Go to Broadcaster Registration.
Complete the performer agreement.
Submit the required identification for verification.

Your ID needs to be current and government-issued and show information including your date of birth, photograph, ID number and legal name. Chaturbate also requires a selfie as part of verification.

What Do You Need to Broadcast?

Once your account has been approved, you can access Chaturbate's broadcasting tools through Broadcast Yourself. You don't necessarily need an elaborate setup to get started, although the quality of your camera, lighting, internet connection and audio can affect the viewing experience.

It's worth spending some time looking around the platform before your first broadcast to understand how rooms, chat and broadcaster features work.

How Do Chaturbate Broadcasters Make Money?

The main currency on Chaturbate is tokens. Viewers can send broadcasters token tips, while broadcasters can also earn tokens through features such as private shows and other paid content. Chaturbate currently converts broadcaster tokens at:

1 token = $0.05

That means:

100 tokens = $5
1,000 tokens = $50
10,000 tokens = $500

Chaturbate currently requires at least $50 in earnings for a payout, with several payout methods available depending on location.

Can Anyone Appear on Your Stream?

No. This is important. Anyone appearing on a Chaturbate broadcast must first have completed the platform's age-verification requirements. Chaturbate states that someone cannot appear in a broadcast or uploaded account content unless acceptable government-issued photo identification has been provided for them.

Do New Broadcasters Get Extra Exposure?

Currently, yes. Chaturbate says newly verified creators receive a NEW tag, which provides special visibility for their first 80 hours of streaming during their first 30 days.

That can make the first few weeks particularly useful for experimenting with your schedule and building an initial following.

What About Privacy?

It's worth considering privacy before you start broadcasting. Chaturbate itself recommends using a username that's different from those used on your personal accounts. If you're creating social accounts to promote your room, it similarly recommends separate profiles using your Chaturbate username.
